The coronavirus disease is trampling through our planet.

As of today, Easter Day, here are the statistics: Today, Globally, 1,787,766 people have been confirmed positive with the decease. 100,691 have died. In our country (the United States) alone, 530,006 are confirmed positive with the decease and 20,608 deaths.

My Lord and My God.

At first glance, I would have said that Thomas was not born in Galilee, but Missouri. Missourians as they like to be called, hail from the “show me” state. So-called because in 1899, their congressman named Hillard Duncan Vandiver speaking at a convention in Philadelphia, said:

Easter Greetings.

It is as if it was yesterday that we celebrated Easter. Since then I was surprised to notice that we have been in the Easter season for three Sundays now for today is the Third Sunday of Easter. If anyone is to use the Easter Greetings today most people will think that it is a belated greeting.

The Good Shepherd

Very truly I tell you, anyone who enters the sheepfold not by the gate but climbs in by another way is a thief and a brigand. The fold is where the sheep feel safe at night, they feel protected from wild animals that want to attack them.

When I was young, I traveled with my parents to a few places in the provinces. It was there that I learned that people worshipped various objects as gods (with a small “g".) Some worshipped stones, some trees, some the sea, and so on.

In the United Kingdom, there are what are called Professional Institutes. These Institutes are formed originally by qualified and experienced people in their respective professions. Over the years, some over a hundred years, they became very popular and respected in the UK and the former colonies.
